Last month when configuring a PRI Assuming that its a MFT-T1/E1 card, i used “pri-group timeslots 1-31” . After a while i noticed there is no serial interface created.

Later verifying the inventory i noticed that NIM card inserted was Voice/Channelized Data T1/E1 Module and not Voice/Clear-channel Data card.

If you are using line cards NIM-XCE1T1-PRI for your PRI , use below command to configure the PRI .

controller e1 0/1/0
pri-group timeslots 1-X voice-dsp

You need to add voice-dsp along with the Pri time slot command.

To configure the PRI if you have already used “pri-group timeslots 1-X” command , entering the above command you will received below warning.

Cannot change voice-dsp configuration. Unconfigure existing pri-group and reconf igure.

So to reconfigure the controller, Remove the pri-group timeslot command and use pri-group timeslots 1-X voice-dsp
